The recommendations of the Maternys label
This label is renewed every year and represents our desire to make a major contribution to the development of practices for women and couples actively involved in their care, with the help of all the birth professionals who work in our establishments. More than ever, it validates our constant desire to adapt our support, information and attentiveness to patients.
Maternys is based on a set of 12 recommendations for good treatment, and the provision of resources to help implement them:
1. Transparency of maternity units
- Episiotomy rate,
- Caesarean delivery rate,
- Instrumental delivery rate, induction rate: compared with national rates for maternity units with the same level of care.
2. Improving information
The MATERNYS ® platform offers videos explaining the different stages of pregnancy and guides patients in their dialogue with healthcare professionals.
3. Early prenatal interview
Specific counselling and information consultation at the beginning of pregnancy for patients who so wish.
4. Newborn comfort
- Breastfeeding support for women who want it
- Concern for the comfort of newborn babies
- Respecting the baby's sleep patterns when organising care
5. Patient autonomy
The opportunity to have a birth that is as physiologically correct as possible, in a safe environment that allows you to deal with any unexpected problems.
6. Psychological support
Any emergency intervention will be explained before the patient leaves the maternity ward. Psychological support available if needed
7. Satisfaction forms
- On leaving the maternity hospital
- And three months after the date of delivery
8. Model birth plan proposed to all patients
9. 24-hour availability of analgesia
10. Appropriate care
- Annual practice relevance scorecard.
11. Patient support
