From April 18, and for a month, the regional delegations of France Assos Santé and user representatives will offer a series of events throughout France to inform users about their health rights. This 2021 edition must however adapt to the current context, with actions mainly organized remotely.
What is JEDS?
The European Health Rights Day (formerly European Patients' Rights Day) was born on the initiative of the “Active Citizenship Network” movement, an association of European citizens.
Every year, April 18th marks the start of a month of actions put in place to remind everyone of our fundamental health rights. The European Charter of Patients' Rights proclaims 14 rights which aim to guarantee "a high level of protection of human health" and health services in European countries.
Knowledge of these fundamental rights is the key for everyone to become an actor in their own health! Find the European Charter of Patients' Rights: European-Charter-of-Patients-Rights
